Silver
All of my silver jewelry is made of 925 sterling silver. The
number 925 refers to how pure silver is (many parts per
thousand). Nowadays, sterling silver is the most common.
Gold
All gold jewelry that I've shown here is made
in 18 K gold, as are the gold details on some of my silver pieces.
Oxidizing
Some jewelry are oxidized to give them a
darker and more antique look. This oxide will remain even if you shower or
bathe while wearing the piece. If you wish to polish it, then only use a
soft polishing cloth. If you were to use something harder or a liquid
or wax polish, it might loose its dark color. However, over time the
oxidation may wear off just through normal handling and you might want to
have it redone. It is a pretty easy task that you can ask any local jeweler
to do for you and the cost should be relatively small. Oxidation is especially attractive when used
on gold-on-silver details.
Custom orders
If you have ordered a piece of custom jewelry, I will gladly photograph the
work in progress, if you request it. Many customers find it very interesting
and exciting to see their jewelry being made and grow. It can also be a nice momento for the person who is getting it. Please note in your order if you
would like a photographic record.
Pearls
The cultured pearls I use for my jewelry are
from either Japan or China. Many people ask 'what is the difference between
a cultured pearl and a natural one. They both grow inside an oyster, but the
cultured pearl is the result of an irritant implanted to start the growth
process. Right now, the special facts about pearls and how all this works,
are only available in Swedish, but those who understands, or just want to
